Fifth Research Papers Competition for Junior Scientists who work on comparative Russian-European studies


Did you know 15 cities in the world bear the name of St. Petersburg?

Yet, only one of them will host the most talented junior social scientists from Europe who study Russia - in the final of the international research papers competition in November, 2018!

For the fifth time, Centre for German and European Studies (St. Petersburg State University – Bielefeld University), supported by DAAD and in collaboration with the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Sociology (St. Petersburg State University), invites Europe-based MA and PhD students in social sciences and humanities to submit their papers on the topical issues of Russian studies or comparative Russian-European research.

Deadline: October 15, 2018.

The winner of the competition will receive a prize of up to 1275 EUR to conduct a research trip to Russia.

The final stage of the competition will take place in St. Petersburg. All the finalists will be invited to participate in an international workshop on writing and publishing academic papers taught by European experts.
